Candy Claws Car Torched!

Candy Claws encountered some unfortunate car trouble in Pennsylvania this weekend… Driving down the highway, they noticed something wrong and left the car just before it burst into flames!

Thankfully, everyone is safe! More pictures here

All of their gear was burned up in the disaster, but the show must go on. You will still be able to see the band play on the following dates of their tour.

Welcome to our world. Our new world with Candy Claws, our newest signees.

Fort Collins natives, composers, and arrangers, Candy Claws unfolds impressive aural landscapes with rich harmonic structures and complex musical ideas that defy genre. We are so thrilled to be working with these young, bright, and so obviously talented individuals. We can’t wait to share more of their genius with you!

Brilliant directors, Benjamin and Stefan Ramirez-Perez’s beautiful work is—deservedly—being honored internationally. Check out these two events below:

First, The Continental Gallery in Los Angeles has an exhibit curated by Adrian Grenier’s website and art collective, SHFT.com. The exhibit, which focuses on environment and sustainability, runs through May 26th.

It’s almost that time. Inlets’ debut LP, Inter Arbiter is due April 20th and there’s only one way to celebrate: have them perform!

Come to Union Hall (702 Union St in Brooklyn) next Friday April 23rd. Also on the bill is A Weather and Jared Van Fleet. Pick up your copy of the vinyl or CD at the show!

Holiday Shores back in NYC

So if you weren’t aware, Holiday Shores has been on the road with Twin Sister, but you probably knew that because you follow them on twitter…

Regardless, We’re so excited about them coming back to NYC we threw together a KILLER bill and Brian made us a cool poster.

Anyway, it’s going to be a GREAT show and we can’t wait to see you there!

Today, Stereogum unveiled the first mp3, “Bright Orange Air”, from forthcoming debut full-length, Inter Arbiter, from our friend and newest signee, Inlets.

A super talented musician, lyricist, and a great friend, we’re proud to be releasing Inlets’ first recordings since his 2006 Vestibule EP.

Though primarily the solo project of Sebastian Krueger, Inlets employs a litany of indie rock superstar guests on Inter Arbiter including Zach Condon (Beirut), Angel Deradoorian (Dirty Projectors), and Marla Hansen (Osso String Quartet).

Note the incredible Ben Tousley-designed artwork above; listen to one of my favorite songs in a long time; and let us know how you feel!

Inter Arbiter is out April 20th.
